Etsy partners with Hover, a third-party internet domain registration service, to give Etsy Plus subscribers discounted custom domains.
A custom web address, or domain, can make it easier for customers to find your shop online and build your brand (e.g., www.yourshopname.com). The web address redirects to your Etsy shop. You can use your custom Hover domain on business cards, signs at events, or anywhere else you'd like to display it.

Through our partner Hover, we offer Etsy Plus subscribers the choice of one of the following:
- Free “.store” domain
- 50% off select domain extensions like “.com”, “.net”, “.shop”, “.ca”, “.uk”, “.fashion”, etc.
These discounts are valid for the first year of domain registration.
If you already own a domain through a third-party domain provider, it’s ineligible to be transferred to Hover for a discount. Contact your provider to redirect a domain you already own to your Etsy shop.
Registering and managing your Hover domain
To register a Hover domain:
- On Etsy.com, go to Shop Manager.
- Select Marketing.
- Select Custom web address.
- Select Get your new web address with Hover to be directed to the Hover website.
- Follow the Hover website instructions to create an account and register your domain.
To renew or make changes to your domain, or edit your Hover account information, select Manage your web address with Hover within Custom web address.
If you cancel your subscription to Etsy Plus, your agreement with Hover will remain in effect, and you’ll still own your domain until the domain registration period ends. At that time, you can choose to renew the domain or let it expire. If you wish to redirect your Hover domain, contact Hover.
Billing for your Hover domain
If you purchase a new custom web address through Hover, you’ll be navigated to Hover to select the details and complete the purchase.
By subscribing to Etsy Plus, your first year of domain registration is available at a discounted rate. Domains can be registered for more than one year at a time. If you renew your domain, it will be subject to Hover’s normal pricing structure without the Etsy Plus discount.
Domains purchased for Pattern
You can’t set a single domain to redirect to both sites. Your Etsy shop and Pattern site each need unique domains.
At this time, Pattern is not a service associated with Etsy Plus. Pattern allows you to build a separately branded website and expand your online sales beyond the Etsy marketplace.
Domains purchased through Pattern are registered through OpenSRS, an affiliate of our partner Tucows. Domains purchased through Pattern redirect to your Pattern site by default. These domains can be pointed to other third-party websites, but they cannot be used with your Etsy shop at this time.
To redirect your Pattern site domain to your Etsy shop, disconnect the domain and transfer it to another hosting service. For assistance with the process, contact your new hosting provider.
Redirecting a domain you already own
If you want to redirect a domain you already own through another third-party domain provider to your Etsy shop, contact your domain provider.
You don’t need to subscribe to Etsy Plus or purchase a domain through Hover to redirect a domain you already own to your Etsy shop.
If you already own a domain through a third-party domain provider, it’s ineligible to be transferred to Hover for a discount.
