How long will it take for my order to process?

Most orders are processed within 72 hours, although some orders may take longer. Some transactions are reviewed faster than others, which is why you only receive an email for certain orders.

You and the seller will receive separate confirmation emails when the order has been processed successfully.

Have I been charged for this order yet?

You may see a pending charge on your credit card or bank statement during this time. The charge will only be finalised when the purchase has been successfully processed.

If you received an email from Etsy saying that your payment is still processing or if your order is showing as “payment processing,” it means that Etsy is reviewing the transaction.

Etsy screens and reviews each Etsy Payments orders to ensure that the transaction is legitimate. Most orders are processed within 72 hours. However, some may take more time for our team to review. This review process is in place to protect you and other buyers and sellers on Etsy from possible fraud.

We’re working to review your order as soon as possible. Once the order has fully processed, both you and the seller will receive an email confirmation.

If your order is marked as “payment processing” or if you received an email from Etsy saying that your order is being processed, you may still see a pending charge on your credit card or bank statement. This charge will only be finalised when the purchase has been processed successfully.

Once the payment is reviewed, the seller can cancel an order. Etsy can’t cancel an order on a seller’s behalf.

After the order is processed, you can request that the seller cancel the order. Choose your order and select the order you would like to cancel. Click Message seller, request that the seller cancel the order, and click Send.
