Etsy Insider is an invite-only closed beta membership programme available to select buyers in the United States. Invited shoppers have the option to purchase a seasonal or annual membership, which will allow access to special benefits.

Memberships and benefits

Etsy Insider has two types of memberships: seasonal and annual. When you sign up for Etsy Insider, you automatically have access to the benefits of your chosen plan.

Seasonal membership

Seasonal membership has a duration of 3 months, and is billed every 3 months.

With a seasonal membership, you receive:

• Free US domestic delivery on millions of items
• Ability to double your impact with Donate the Change. Etsy will match your contribution each time you donate your change to the Uplift Fund.

Annual membership

Annual membership is billed every 12 months.

With an annual membership, you receive:

• All of the benefits of a seasonal membership
• A birthday bonus

Billing

The membership cost will be displayed and charged when you sign up for Etsy Insider.

While a member, you’ll be billed every 3 months for a seasonal membership, and each year for an annual membership. The day you’re charged for your membership depends on the calendar day you signed up. For example, if you sign up for an annual membership on the 12th of a particular month, you’ll be billed on that same calendar day each following year as long as you remain a member.

How to manage your membership

You can manage your membership from your Etsy Insider member page:

1. Sign in to Etsy.com from your desktop or mobile browser, or using the Etsy app
2. Go to Your account.
3. The Etsy Insider member page is available at the top of the dropdown menu.

Within the member page you can manage your payment method, and cancel or restore your membership. If you cancel, you’ll have access to your benefits until the end of your billing period.

Information for sellers

As a seller, you don’t need to opt into the programme – invited US buyers will be able to use their benefits when purchasing from your shop after they’ve joined the programme.

You also won’t need to make any changes to your workflow or your delivery settings to participate in Etsy Insider. Plus, there’s no cost to you.

Etsy is covering the cost of free delivery to Etsy Insider members. Here's how it works:

• Free delivery benefit: Etsy covers the cost of free delivery to Etsy Insider members. You’ll be paid your full postage fee minus the transaction fee. This will also be the case if you purchase a postage label on Etsy. You'll be able to see postage was paid by Etsy on the order email, order details page, packing slip, and in Messages. This benefit only applies to eligible listings with US domestic delivery.
  
  
• Earnings and fees: Your earnings and fees will appear the same as any other order on the ledger in your Payment account.
  
  
• Order refunds and cancellations: If you refund or cancel an order, the buyer will be refunded for the amount they paid and the postage cost will go back to Etsy.
