Shopping Engine Ads
Shopping engines are third party platforms that allow users to easily find and compare products from various online marketplaces and retailers. Listing your products on shopping engines is a great way to expose your items to buyers who aren’t searching on Etsy.
With Shopping Engine Ads enabled, Etsy may automatically syndicate your listings out to various well-known shopping engines. At this time, Etsy does not charge you for shopping engine ads.
To make sure your items are eligible to be advertised on shopping engines:
- Go to Shop Manager > Settings > Shopping engine ads.
- Select Enabled at the bottom of the screen.
- Be sure to save your changes.
We currently syndicate our listings to a variety of channels. While the list of engines we work with changes over time, we currently syndicate our listings to:
- Google Shopping
- Bing
- Shopstyle
- Polyvore
Keep in mind that each of these services has their own policies that determine whether or not your listings are eligible to appear there. For example, Google Shopping does not allow images that contain watermarking.
In addition, each service may have stricter policies than Etsy does in regards to mature items and prohibited items.
Note: In addition to free Google Shopping Engine Ads, Etsy gives you the option to run your own personalised campaign through Google Shopping. Learn more about paid advertising through Google Shopping.
If you have more questions about your listings’ eligibility, please consult the terms and conditions of these various services.
