- Sign in to Etsy.com,
- Click Your account.
- Click Account settings.
- Click Privacy.
- Scroll down to Personalised Advertising under Privacy settings. For members in the EU, scroll down to Third Party Advertising, which is opt-out by default.
- Toggle Personalised Advertising to Off.
- Click Update settings.
Alternatively, or if you don’t have an Etsy account, you can set your preference to opt-out of personalised advertising by clicking Privacy Settings, located at the footer on most pages on Etsy.com.
Can I opt out of the “sale” of my data?
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents are entitled to opt-out of the “sale” of their data at any time. Etsy does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary value. However, the term “sale” is defined broadly under the California Consumer Privacy Act and some may interpret it to include personalised advertising or interest-based advertising. You can opt-out of personalised advertising by following the instructions above.
How do I exercise my rights under GDPR?
For Etsy members in the European Union and EEA, by default you are opted out of personalised advertising. To opt-in, use the instructions above and toggle Personalised Advertising and/or Third Party Advertising to On.
