If you’re a buyer in the United States, you can pay for certain items on Etsy in instalments with Klarna, an online payments company. We hope to offer flexible payment options to more countries in the future.
To pay in instalments with Klarna, you must have your location set to the United States, language set to English, and currency set to United States Dollar (USD). Learn how to change your regional preferences. You must also have a billing address in the US.
To qualify for payment in instalments with Klarna, the order must be between $50 USD and $10,000 USD after any discounts, and before postage and taxes. (If an order totals the maximum $10,000 USD, we use the total order value after discounts, postage, and taxes.) You can order multiple items and from multiple shops at once with Klarna as long as the order meets the other requirements.
You can’t combine an Etsy Gift Card with a Klarna payment or purchase an Etsy Gift Card with Klarna at this time.
Orders totaling between $50 USD and $250 USD
For orders totaling between $50 USD and $250 USD, you can pay with Klarna in 4 interest-free instalments. With this option, you’ll pay the first instalment via Klarna when checking out on Etsy. For the remaining three instalments, you’ll pay every two weeks, until you’ve paid a total of four times. You won’t be charged interest or fees when paying on time.
Orders totaling between $250.01 USD and $10,000 USD
For orders totaling between $250.01 USD and $10,000 USD, you can choose Monthly financing. The payment schedule offered by Klarna may be over 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 months.
Klarna will determine the payment schedule options and interest rate based on the order total and Klarna’s assessment of your ability to complete the instalment schedule offered. Learn more about financing on Klarna.

I don’t see Klarna as an option
There are a few reasons why you may not see the option to pay with Klarna.
If the order is between $250 USD and $10,000 USD you’ll need to sign in to an Etsy account or create an Etsy account to check out with Klarna.
Make sure your location and currency are correct by scrolling to the bottom of most Etsy pages. Click the country and currency to change them. Learn how to change your regional preferences.
The order might not be between $50 USD and $10,000 USD after any discounts, and before postage and taxes. If an item is below $50 USD, combine it with more items in your basket to total over $50 USD. If an order totals the maximum $10,000 USD, we use the total order value after discounts, shipping, and taxes. For orders above $10,000 USD, you’ll need to select another form of payment.
If you still don’t see the option to pay with Klarna, one or more shops on the order may not accept Klarna instalments as a payment option at this time.
How do I get a refund?
Etsy shops determine their own refund and cancellation policies. If a seller issues you a refund, Klarna will receive that information and issue you the correct portion of the refund.
If you’re having a problem with an order, learn how to report a problem to Etsy.
If the shop has refunded you, but you’re still not seeing the refund, contact Klarna’s Customer Service team.
How do I check my payments and schedule?
You can also check your email account for an email from Klarna containing your payment schedule. If you don’t see it, be sure to look in your spam folder or recycle bin history.
A late fee charged by Klarna may apply if a payment is not submitted by a due date set by Klarna.
