Purchasing Etsy Items Through ChatGPT

Etsy has partnered with OpenAI to allow some Etsy listings to be purchased directly in ChatGPT. 

You must be logged into a ChatGPT account in order to use this feature. After checking out in ChatGPT, you’ll receive an email from Etsy confirming your order. You can access your order history in ChatGPT as well as on Etsy if you connect your order to an Etsy account with the email address used for your purchase. 

At this time, only shoppers in the United States can purchase Etsy items through ChatGPT.

What payment methods can I use when checking out on ChatGPT? 

When checking out on ChatGPT, you can pay by: 

  • Credit or debit card
  • Bank account via Link
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay 

Transactions can be completed in United States dollars (USD) only. 

At this time, Etsy gift cards and coupons cannot be used for orders placed through ChatGPT.

How do I connect my order to an Etsy account? 

When you make a purchase through ChatGPT, you will check out as a guest with Etsy. Your order will not automatically be connected to your Etsy account.

  1. Open your order confirmation email from your purchase.
  2. Select View Order in the email.
  3. Sign into Etsy using the email address used for your purchase.

How do I download a digital item purchased through ChatGPT?
