Apple Pay as a Payment Option

Apple Pay is a mobile payment service available to iOS buyers in Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and the US who are shopping on the mobile app or Safari on desktop or mobile.

Paying via Apple Pay on the Etsy App

You can check out using Apple Pay when shopping on Etsy’s mobile app. To pay for an item using Apple Pay, the shop you’re buying from must be enrolled in Etsy Payments. You’ll also need to enable Apple Pay for a credit card on your device before you check out or the option to use Apple Pay will not appear.

Once you link a credit card to Apple Pay on your device, this will be the default payment method when you’re shopping on the Etsy app.

Check out Apple’s help page for more info.

Paying via Apple Pay on Safari

If you’re using Safari on your Mac with the Sierra iOS or higher and have an iOS device in range, choose Apple Pay at checkout, and you’ll be prompted on your iOS device to authorize the payment.

If you’re using Safari on your iPhone or iPad with iOS 10 or higher, choose Apple Pay on the checkout screen, and then complete the purchase with Touch ID.

Accepting Apple Pay as a Seller

Sellers that are enrolled in Etsy Payments are automatically eligible to receive payments from buyers who wish to use Apple Pay. These payments will be displayed on your receipt and in your payment account as paid for using Etsy Payments.

Apple Pay is part of Etsy Payments and has the same payment processing fees. These fees vary by country. You can see the fees for your location here.
