How to Edit a Listing

Quick answer

To edit a listing, go to your Listings page in Shop Manager or the Etsy Seller app and select a listing image.

You can edit any part of a listing at any time. There's no cost to edit a listing.

Your listing will be available to shoppers while you're editing. If you want to hide a listing while making changes, you can temporarily deactivate it.

Certain aspects of your listings can be bulk edited, if you'd like to edit the same part of multiple listings at once.

Include clear, high-quality images of your item in your listings. Listings with primary images that are too dark, are low quality, are part of photo-collages, or that have too few images may result in your listing appearing lower in search results. You can see if any of your listings need improvements from your Etsy search visibility tab.

How to fix listing search visibility issues

The following issues may cause your Listings to appear lower in Etsy search results:

  • Having a primary image that’s too dark
  • Having a primary image that’s low resolution
  • Having a primary image that’s a collage
  • Having too few images may result in your listing appearing lower in search results.
  • Lacking a return policy, even if that policy is “no returns accepted”
  • Lacking a specific category
  • Having a shipping price for US domestic listings higher than 6 dollars.

  1. From your Shop Manager, go to your Etsy search visibility tab
  2. In Your listings, view which issues are affecting your listings’ visibility. Options available may include: Add photos or videos, Replace photo collage, Upload higher-resolution photos, Add return policy, Update Policy, or Offer buyer-friendly US shipping prices.
  3. Choose which issue you want to resolve and select View listings
  4. All the listings with the selected issue will be displayed. Edit your listings to correct the search visibility issues.
