How to Estimate Shipping Costs on Etsy

After receiving an order, you can purchase a shipping label on Etsy. Sellers in the US can preview the cost to ship both domestic and international packages using our shipping calculator.

We negotiate discounts with USPS and Fedex, then pass along that savings when you buy domestic and international shipping labels. You can use the calculator to view these rates before or after receiving an order.

Using the shipping calculator can also be helpful for researching available shipping methods for your listings, setting prices for your listings, or for getting familiar with what services we support.

The rates shown through the shipping calculator on Etsy are for reference purposes only and may change. Prices are also shown during label purchase, and can be reviewed prior to confirming your purchase.

Why should I buy shipping labels on Etsy?

Using shipping labels on Etsy may provide benefits to you and your customers, including:

  • Helping your orders qualify for Etsy Purchase Protection—provided other coverage criteria are met—which covers you in the event that something goes wrong with an order that’s out of your control.

  • You won’t find better USPS domestic rates from any other third-party label provider.*

  • Etsy enters your buyers’ shipping info and sends tracking updates so you don’t have to.

*Claim based on currently published USPS mail class/service level rates and marketplace or contract rates purchased in the last 30 days from authorized USPS label resellers. Excluding differences due to USPS rate changes over time, or additional services.
