I received an email about a gift purchased from Etsy

To view the shipping status and tracking number (if available) of a gift someone purchased for you on Etsy, select View gift page in the email you received. 

When purchasing an item on Etsy, buyers can mark an item as a gift, then enter your email to send you a personalized link. You’ll then receive an email from transaction@etsy.com that lets you know someone bought something special for you on Etsy. You may also be able to reveal the image of the item, if the person who purchased it for you chose the option to give you a sneak peek. 

Once you open the email, if you choose View your gift page, this will bring you to a personalized gift page where you will see a message from the buyer if they chose to include one, along with order details, such as: 

  • Your gift’s shipping status
  • The estimated delivery date  
  • Tracking information (if the seller has provided a tracking number)
  • The item image (if the buyer chose to include it)

If the gift hasn’t been shipped yet, save the link to your personalized gift page so you can easily see the status of the order in the future.

What if order doesn’t arrive, or there is a problem with the item?

On the rare occasion that something goes wrong with your gift, please reach out to the person who purchased it for you. Let them know what the issue is and they can message the seller for further assistance with your gift order. Only the person who purchased the gift for you can start the return or exchange process. Have them contact Etsy support for help only if the seller can not resolve the issue first.
