If Etsy determines that a certain amount of the messages you've sent are spam, your messages will be muted for 48 hours. While you’re muted, you can’t send any messages to other Etsy users.
When sending messages to other Etsy users, make sure that they follow the guidelines outlined in Etsy’s Community Policy.
How do I know if I’m muted?
You’ll receive an email from Etsy’s Trust & Safety team letting you know your account is muted.
Trying to send a message while muted will result in an error. You’ll be able to send messages again 48 hours after receiving the email. Please note that Etsy support agents are unable to reverse this temporary mute.
