Starting October 1st, we're updating how shipping price is factored into Etsy search for US domestic listings only. This means that listings with shipping prices lower than $6 will be prioritized in Etsy search, with some exceptions.
If you wish to lower your shipping prices to help improve how your listings appear in search, you can use the tool within the Search visibility page to help adjust your prices in bulk.
Search visibility exceptions for shipping price
We’ll exclude specific types of US domestic listings from having shipping price factored into search visibility.
Excluded listings
- Digital listings
- Listings shipped from US sellers to non-US destinations
- Listings shipped by sellers from outside the US
- Listings priced over $35 from shops that offer a free shipping guarantee
- Listings that use calculated shipping
- Listings using a third-party app that updates shipping prices, like a Print-on-Demand service
How to update shipping prices $6 and over
The Search visibility page will surface which of your US domestic listings have shipping prices $6 and over. Decrease your shipping prices with the option to adjust your base listing price as much or as little as you’d like before submitting the update.
- On your Shop Manager dashboard, go to the Search visibility page.
- If any of your eligible listings have US shipping prices $6 and over, you’ll see the option to update your shipping prices.
- Select Update prices.
- Choose a new US shipping price for your shipping profile. You can also adjust your listing prices across all listings tied to that shipping profile.
- Select Save and continue to update all the listings in a shipping profile at once.
If you want to make changes or double-check previously made updates, you can go to the Listings Manager to view and edit individual listings.
Your listings should be updated with any changes you made in a few minutes. You can come back to the tool by returning to the Etsy search visibility page at any time, but keep in mind the tool is only available to use for US domestic listings with shipping prices of $6 or above that are not on the exceptions list.
