The GPSR ensures that non-food consumer products on the EU markets are safe. GPSR comes into effect December 13, 2024 and puts in place specific requirements for sellers who sell into the EU markets. 

Who does the GPSR apply to?

Sellers who sell items into the EU market—regardless of the sellers’ location—may fall under GPSR requirements. GPSR does not apply to sellers who do not sell to buyers in the EU market.

What do sellers selling into the EU markets need to do for GPSR?

1. Add an Economic Operator to your account. 
2. Update your listing descriptions to include manufacturer details, including manufacturer contact information and product safety warnings. 
3. Review the General Product Safety Regulation to determine additional updates you may need to make for your specific shop.
