Etsy has partnered with OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft to allow some Etsy listings to be purchased directly in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Copilot.
You must be logged into a ChatGPT, Google, or Microsoft account in order to use these features. After checking out, you’ll receive an email from Etsy confirming your order. You can access your order history in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, or Copilot, as well as on Etsy if you connect your order to an Etsy account with the email address used for your purchase.
At this time, only shoppers in the United States can purchase Etsy items through ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Copilot.
What payment methods can I use when checking out on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Copilot?
When checking out, you can pay by:
- Credit or debit card
- Bank account via Link
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
Transactions can be completed in United States dollars (USD) only.
At this time, Etsy gift cards and coupons cannot be used for orders placed through ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Copilot.
How do I connect my order to an Etsy account?
When you make a purchase through ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, or Copilot, you will check out as a guest with Etsy. Your order will not automatically be connected to your Etsy account.
Connect your Etsy account in order to:
- Leave a review
- Message the seller
- Send a Help with Order request
- File a Support ticket
To link your order to an existing Etsy account:
- Open your order confirmation email from your purchase.
- Select View Order in the email.
- Sign into Etsy using the email address used for your purchase.
