How can I use the Xero integration?
Use the Xero integration to:
- Automatically sync sales, refunds, and fees: Create a transaction per order or a daily summary that breaks down your sales, refunds, and fees.
- Map transactions: Map Etsy sales and expense types to your Xero accounts, tax rates, and tracking categories.
- Handle sales tax: Simplify filing taxes with local authorities–the integration accounts for sales taxes based on the sales location.
- View cash flow: See a real-time view of your sales and fees.
- Get your books up to date: Sync up to 6 months of past Etsy data to bulk reconcile outstanding deposits and ensure your books are up to date for the end of the month or year.
You can also use your Xero account to manage core business functions, including invoicing and expenses, payroll, inventory, and more.
How do I sign up for Xero and connect my shop?
To sign up and connect Xero to your shop:
- On Etsy.com, sign in and go to your Shop Manager.
- Choose Apps.
- In the Browse all tab, go to Financial Services.
- Select Xero.
- Choose Learn more to visit Xero’s website.
- Create an account from Xero’s website and follow the steps to connect to your Etsy shop.
If you’re already subscribed to Xero, to connect your shop:
- Go to the Etsy app listing on Xero's App Store.
- Select Get this app.
- Log in to your Xero account.
- You will then be redirected to connect your Etsy and Xero accounts.
- Follow the prompts to continue with integration set-up.
Once you’ve connected, Xero will appear on the Connected apps tab on the Apps page.
