A tag is a word or short phrase that describes your item. Etsy matches tags with shoppers' searches to find relevant results. Utilize tags to improve where your items are appearing on Etsy. Learn more about Etsy search.
How to choose tags for your listing
Each tag is an opportunity to be matched with a shopper’s search. You can use up to 13 tags per listing. A single tag can be a short descriptive phrase (for example, "silver earrings" or “minimalist jewelry”).
Tags are helpful when there’s no matching attribute and are great for aspirational or buyer-minded search terms (for example, “gift for her”).
Tags should use accurate and relevant words and phrases. To increase your search visibility, use a diverse array of tags. Learn more about best practices for tags.
