Making Listings Visible to International Buyers

Adding translations allows your shop to be seen by a wider audience of potential buyers. You can translate your listings and parts of your shop in two ways:

  • Turning on automatic translations for your listings

  • Manually adding translations to both parts of your shop and your listings

Turn automatic listing translations on and off

With translated listings, buyers will see your listings in their preferred language, even in languages in which you are not fluent.

To control whether your listings are automatically translated:

1.) Go to Shop Manager > Settings > Options.

2.) Under Automatic Listing Translation, choose to enable or disable.

3.) Click Save.

When enabled, you can have your listings surfaced to buyers searching in supported languages. When disabled, listings will only be surfaced if you have provided a manual translation for that language.

Manually translate your listings

Manually translating your listings will override automatic translations of those listings.

To manually translate your listings, you'll need to add the languages you wish to translate to your shop:

1.) Go to Shop Manager > Settings > Languages and translations

2.) Then click Manage languages to add new languages to your shop

3.) After adding a language, you'll be able to translate various aspects of your shop from your shop's Languages and translations section.

  • To translate your listings, click the View listings link from the Listing translation section at the top of the page.

Note: Listings that you have not manually translated will still be eligible for automatic translation if you have enabled it in your settings.
