Hover is a domain provider that does all of the record management for your domain. This allows you to easily transfer, manage, and connect a domain to a website of your choice. Hover might be a good option if you:
- have a domain that doesn't offer DNS record management.
- registered your domain on Pattern and want to use it on a different site.
- want Hover to host and manage your domain records.
Note: A recently purchased domain from another site can't be transferred to a different provider within the first 60 days. The waiting period is a regulation set by ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
Transferring to Hover
To get started, go to the Transfer section of Hover's website.
Enter your domain in the Transfer field and click the arrow button to the right of the page.
If your domain is available for transfer, it will be displayed at the bottom of the page with the email address attached to that domain.
Click the Send approval email icon and you'll receive an email from Hover on next steps. If you don't see it in your inbox, check your spam/junk mail folders.
Click the link within the email to confirm you want to transfer your domain to Hover. Once you do that, you'll be prompted to create a Hover account.
- Once you've created an account, sign in to Hover.com where you'll be taken to your domain management page.
