Sellers subscribed to Etsy Plus have the ability to turn on restock requests for their listings.
When a listing is sold out, shoppers can sign up to be alerted when you relist the item. Etsy updates them via email when the item is back in stock, so you can focus on running your shop.
How do I manage restock requests?
- On Etsy.com, go to your Shop Manager.
- Choose Listings.
- Select the active or sold out listings you want to add restock requests to.
- Choose Editing options.
- In the dropdown, choose Edit restock request option.
- Toggle the restock request option by selecting Yes or No.
- Choose Apply.
- On Etsy.com, go to your Shop Manager.
- Choose Listings.
- Select the listing.
- In the Inventory and Pricing section, select Yes to turn on restock requests.
You can’t manually mark listings as sold out. The inventory of the listing must be depleted through sales.
Track how many customers sign up for restock notifications in your shop's Listings Manager.
- On Etsy.com, go to Shop Manager.
- Go to Listings.
- Filter for Listings with restock requests under Listing status.
- Select a listing with a restock request to view the number of restock requests it has.
Restock requests also appear in the Recent activity tab of your Shop Manager dashboard.
How can buyers sign up for restock alerts?
When a shopper views the sold out listing through direct links or your Sold Items page, they can select Let me know when it’s back to be notified via email when the item is back in stock.
Once you restock the item a shopper signed up for notifications about, they will be notified via email.
This feature is currently available to buyers on desktop and mobile web.
Listings with sold out variations
If a shopper views your listing and there are sold out variations, they can sign up to be notified when a specific variation is back in stock.
In the variation drop-down, the shopper will see Sold out, waitlist available next to the sold out variation. If they select it, they can select Let me know when it’s back.
