What to Do if You Receive a Notice of Intellectual Property Infringement

Etsy’s Intellectual Property Policy requires us to remove or disable content from Etsy shops if we receive a report of alleged intellectual property infringement. If any of your listings are removed due to an infringement claim, you’ll receive an email with the contact information of the party who filed it.

What can I do if my listing was removed for intellectual property infringement?

Etsy does not make decisions about which listings infringe with intellectual property, and can not speak on behalf of the intellectual property owner.

We encourage you to directly contact the party that provided the report to Etsy if you have questions about the infringement claim, why your content was identified as allegedly infringing, or how to resolve the issue. You can also consider speaking to an attorney.

Do not create additional listings for this content unless the issue is resolved with the other party. Repeat reports of infringement may result in the loss of account privileges.

Read our Intellectual Property Policy for more information.
