To receive your Etsy Payments deposit, you must have funds available for deposit in your Payment account. These funds must meet any applicable deposit minimums for your location.
Review this checklist for additional tips to make it easier to get paid. Watch our video for a more in-depth look at managing your Payment account.
This article is intended for sellers who receive deposits directly to their bank account. If you're required to use a Payoneer Payment Account with Etsy Payments, learn how your funds are deposited.
How Etsy Payments deposits work
When you make a sale through Etsy Payments, the funds are first added to your Payment account on Etsy. Then, according to your deposit schedule, your available funds will be sent to your bank account.
You must have a valid bank account on file with your shop. Whenever you update your bank details, a 5-day hold will apply on funds in your Payment account on Etsy. Once the hold lifts, funds will be sent to your bank account in accordance with your deposit schedule.
In most countries, you can receive your funds if you have a valid credit or debit card on file. If you’re a seller with a bank account in Germany, Austria, or the Netherlands, you aren’t required to have a credit or debit card on file for Etsy Payments.
Deposit schedule
If you’re a new seller, by default your funds will be sent to your bank account weekly, every Monday. You can view or change your deposit schedule:
- On Etsy.com, select Shop Manager.
- Go to Finances.
- Go to Payments Settings.
- In the dropdown under Deposit schedule, choose daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly deposits.
To manage your deposit schedule from the Etsy Seller app:
- Open the Etsy Seller app.
- Tap More.
- Tap Finances.
- Tap Payment settings.
- Choose daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly deposits.
Daily deposit minimums
Some countries have a minimum amount of funds for daily deposits. This means that if your amount available for deposit is less than the minimum for your bank account currency, you won’t get a deposit that day.

Additional deposit minimums, fee thresholds, deposit fees, and Payment account reserves
Some countries have additional deposit minimums, fee thresholds, and deposit fees:
- Deposit minimum: Your funds available for deposit must be above the deposit minimum to be able to receive the funds in your bank account.
- Fee threshold: If your deposit is above the deposit minimum but below the fee threshold, you will be charged a deposit fee. If your deposit exceeds the fee threshold, you won’t be charged a deposit fee.
- Deposit fee: This fee is charged if your deposit is below the fee threshold. Your total funds that are Available for deposit will show your available sales funds minus the deposit fee. This fee is deducted from your Payment account at the time of the deposit and is subject to VAT, where applicable.
- Payment account reserve: Etsy may apply a Payment account reserve to your shop if you’re new to selling on Etsy and haven't yet established a track record on the marketplace. We may also apply a reserve if we determine there is potential risk in your transactions. Learn more about Payment account reserves.

To help avoid the deposit fee, you may wish to update to a less frequent deposit schedule.
When will I receive my deposit?
Depending on your bank, once a deposit is sent out, funds may take up to 3-5 business days to appear in your bank account.
If a deposit day falls on a holiday, available funds will be sent to your bank account on the next business day. If you don’t see your funds after 5 business days, reach out to your bank for assistance.
Specific requirements for sellers in Australia
Sellers in Australia must have a residential address on file with their Australian bank. This address must be used for Etsy Payments. We are unable to accept a PO box as a residential address.
You can update your address in Shop Manager.
