How Do I Pay My Etsy Shop Balance?

When you have an Etsy shop, you’ll incur fees for selling on Etsy. If you make any sales through Etsy Payments, your fees are automatically deducted from your sales funds. The difference between your sales and fees incurred is your current balance.

If you have a negative balance at the end of a month, you’ll have an amount due in your Payment account. Your amount due is similar to a bill.

Any amount due for fees charged during a given month can be paid from the first day of the following month. You can pay your amount due between the 1st and 15th of the month.

Pay my Amount due

To pay your amount due:

  1. On Etsy.com, go to Shop Manager. On the Etsy Seller app, tap More. (If you were suspended for an overdue bill, you need to use Etsy.com to pay your bill.)
  2. Go to Finances.
  3. Go to Payment account.
  4. Select Pay now under Amount due.
  5. Select the amount you’d like to pay.
  6. Choose your payment method.
  7. Select Submit Payment.

You can pay your amount due with a debit card, a credit card, a prepaid card or PayPal. As PayPal does not operate in Türkiye, sellers located in Türkiye must use a debit card, credit card or prepaid card to pay their amount due.

If you’re in the EEA

If you're in the EEA, which comprises the EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, you may be asked to authenticate your payment when you click Submit Payment.

To authenticate a payment, you will need to respond to a prompt from your card issuer and provide additional information. Depending on your card issuer, this additional information may include a correct response to a question, a password, or a passcode.

What is my amount due?

Your amount due is how much you owe from last month’s activities on Etsy.com. If your current balance is negative at the end of the month, you’ll have an amount due on the first of the following month.

You can see how much is currently due and your most recent payment. If you have an amount due and you make a sale, your amount due will decrease by the net amount of the sale. If your statement is paid and up to date, your amount due will be $0.00 USD.

Can I automatically pay my amount due?

If your shop is located in the US, you can enrol in autobilling to automatically pay your amount due each month.

If you’re enrolled in auto-billing, we’ll automatically charge the card on file on the 1st of every month or when you surpass your fee threshold.
