How to Set Shipping Prices with Shipping Profiles

You can save time adding shipping prices to products in your shop by creating shipping profiles. With saved shipping profiles, you can update multiple listings quickly with similar shipping costs. To learn more about shipping profiles and other shipping tools on Etsy, read the Beginners Guide to Shipping.

If you make a change to a profile, all of your listings connected to that profile will be updated as well. If you’re a seller in the US or Canada and would like to have shipping costs automatically calculated for you, use calculated shipping.

To create a shipping profile:

  1. On Etsy.com, click Shop Manager.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Shipping settings.
  4. Click Shipping profiles.
  5. Click Add a shipping profile.
  6. Fill out the appropriate shipping details. You also have the option to set separate domestic and international handling fees.
  7. If you're adding calculated shipping, include your item weight and size.
  8. Click Save.

Once you create and save a shipping profile, it can be applied to any future listings you add to your shop.

How to connect listings to your shipping profiles

To link your shipping profiles to listings:

  1. On Etsy.com, click Shop Manager.
  2. Click Listings.
  3. Click the checkbox of the listing that needs a shipping profile.
  4. Click More Actions.
  5. Click Shipping Profiles from the dropdown menu.
  6. In the next window, click the Select profile… dropdown menu and choose a shipping profile.

A listing can only be connected to one shipping profile.

Offering free shipping

You have the option to include free shipping for new and existing shipping profiles. You can add free shipping by editing a shipping profile from your shipping settings.

If you use calculated shipping, scroll down to the Free shipping section of a shipping profile. Specify whether you'd like to offer domestic or international free shipping by checking the appropriate boxes.
