Packing Slips and Order Receipts for Sellers

Packing slips are a record of a transaction for buyers, meant to be included along with an order for a package.

Order receipts are intended to serve as physical records of transactions for sellers. Neither packing slips nor order receipts are considered invoices for buyers.

You may print a packing slip or receipt for any of your orders from either the Orders & Delivery page, or an individual receipt page.

How to customise packing slips and order receipts

You may edit the information that is included on packing slips or the level of detail on an order receipt by choosing Customise options. There, you’ll see a list of several items that you may include.

Select Save these settings for next time to automatically populate your selections on future packing slips and order receipts.

In addition to detailed order information, you can choose to include promotional items on your packing slips, like your shop banner or a coupon code for use on a future purchase. Learn more about coupon codes.

You are not required to include your terms and conditions on the packing slip, but if you like you may include them in the Add a personalised note field.

Orders marked as gifts

Buyers can mark the order as a gift on their end. That means when you print a packing slip, the slip will automatically omit the breakdown of what the buyer paid.

The packing slip for orders marked as gifts is unique in that it includes a QR code that sends gift recipients straight to your shop to purchase more items. You can also customise the slip to include a coupon code for use on a future purchase.

If you offer it, the buyer can also include a gift message. If they select to include a gift message in their order, the packing slip will automatically include the gift message. All you'll have to do is print it out and place it in with their package.

If a buyer lets you know in some other way that the order is a gift, you can manually mark the order as a gift.

To mark the order as a gift:

  1. Go to Orders & Delivery.
  2. Select the order
  3. Choose More actions.
  4. Select Mark as gift.

You also have the option to offer gift wrap for buyers. Check here for more information on offering gift wrapping services.
